There are so many options out there when it comes to finding the best travel pushchair/stroller and it can be very overwhelming but choosing the right travel pushchair can make your journeys much smoother.
Luckily I've done all the hard work for you and made a comparison guide on the top 15 pushchairs out there at the moment. The comparison table is at the bottom of this post. If you contact me I am happy to send you the excel version for ease of filtering out your key criteria.
Ultimately you need to get something that works for you and is within your budget but these are some of the main things that you may want to consider when you buy:
Compact
You will likely want something compact given this is meant to be a travel item. Some of the pushchairs are "cabin friendly" but most aren't allowed to say anymore given that the allowed size generally differs between airlines. Most airlines let you take pushchairs right up to the gate and are checked in for free anyway so this isn't necessarily a must have. You just need it small enough to be able to be portable and to fit in your car along with whatever else you need to take.
Lightweight
This going along with it being portable. The heavier the pushchair the harder it is to transport. It really depends what you are needing it for as to how light you need it. I've youre going to be getting on and off public transport a lot then you might need something more lightweight for instance.
Ease of use
Many travel pushchairs come with a "one hand" fold which is great for when you're carrying baby / juggling other things.
Comfort for your child
Things like a calf rest aren't necessarily a given on travel pushchairs so this is one to bear in mind as it can add to the comfort of the child.
As can whether or not the pushchair has suspension meaning a less bumpy ride.
Age range
Consider whether you need it from birth and how old you think you will need it until. Many say from birth but only if you buy an added carrycot so just worth bearing in mind.
Reclining
Most of the pushchairs have a reclining function but not all have a lie flat function. This might be one to consider if you are concerned about napping.
Additional features
Does the pushchair come with a raincover, an extendable canopy or even a travel bag?
Budget
Of course price must be a factor here as they can range so much in price from well below £100 creeping up to almost £1,000.
